This is the application for CJS Internship/Field Experience courses for the Fall 2025 semester. This application is open to all CJS students who are looking to complete their internship/field experience requirement for the CJS major in the Fall 2025 semester.
Please carefully read the information about each internship course on the CJS department website in selecting a course that is offered in a modality that you will be able to participate in. For specific questions about a course, contact

The CJS department is offering the following courses for the Fall 2025 semester that fulfill the requirement for internships/service learning for the CJS major:
CJS 494A/AA: Law Enforcement
CJS 494B/BB: Law and Courts
CJS 494E/EE: Community Programs
CJS 410CS: Mentoring to Overcome Struggles and Inspire Courage (MOSAIC)
CJS 452ME: Peer Mentoring in Criminology and Justice Studies
We encourage all students to carefully read the information about each of these courses provided on the CJS department website. After reviewing this information, follow the instructions provided to apply for the course of your choosing. Some, but not all, courses require the completion of this application.
Only apply for ONE internship course. Applying to more than one course can delay the processing of your application. You can apply for the course before your SOLAR registration date. There is no formal deadline for applying to the courses; We will continue to accept applications until the courses are full. We will grant enrollment to courses on a first-come-first-serve basis for students who are eligible and will begin reviewing applications towards the end of the Fall 2024 semester.
Once you have submitted your application, follow the steps provided on the CJS department website. For most courses this will be waiting for an email from the course instructor. In other cases, it is your responsibility to take the next step.

CJS 454AL: Applied Legal Skills Development
CJS 454RE: Reentry and Programs
For these three courses, no application or permission number are required, and students may enroll at their earliest enrollment date.
